How we started
BetterHands was founded in 2020 by a team of Registered Nurses who had spent years in the wards of Colombo's leading private hospitals, witnessing first-hand the gap in quality nursing support after discharge. Families were left without reliable care at home — and we decided to change that.
Starting with a small team in Colombo 07, BetterHands has grown to serve over 1,500 families across the Western, Central, and Southern provinces. What hasn't changed is our founding belief: that every Sri Lankan deserves compassionate, dignified care in the place they call home.
Today, we combine clinical excellence with modern care coordination — but at our heart, we are still a team of dedicated Sri Lankan nurses and caregivers who genuinely care about the people we support.
