Clinical Nursing
Procedures at Home.

Clinical nursing procedures require a PHSRC-registered nurse.
The Professional Home Services Regulatory Commission (PHSRC) is the government body that regulates home nursing practice in Sri Lanka. All clinical procedures — IV therapy, injections, catheter insertion, NG tube management, and wound debridement — require a current PHSRC practising certificate. This is the legal minimum, not an optional standard.
BetterHands verifies PHSRC registration for every nurse placed before their first clinical visit. Families can request to see the registration certificate. An unverified person performing these procedures at home is operating outside Sri Lankan law — and creates significant liability risk for the family.
