BetterHands organises home care into two categories. Home & Personal Care covers personal care, elderly care, companion care, 24-hour live-in care, half-day care, night care and physiotherapy at home. Nursing & Clinical covers home nursing, post-operative care, wound care, clinical procedures, hospital bystander support (government and private hospitals alike), medication management and doorstep lab testing. Every service is tailored to the individual and delivered at home across Sri Lanka.

Yes. All our nurses and caregivers are thoroughly vetted before joining BetterHands — including professional reference verification, work history checks, and a clinical skills assessment. We conduct ongoing training and quality reviews for all care staff.

BetterHands operates on a membership model. A one-time annual registration fee of LKR 20,000 covers unlimited caregiver replacements, payroll management, caregiver administration, and ongoing coordination from our team. Daily service rates are then LKR 4,500 per day for a caregiver, LKR 6,000 per day for a nursing assistant, and LKR 9,000 per day for a professional nurse. The same daily rates apply to day care, night care and live-in support — there are no shift premiums and no travel supplements for any district. Placements are booked for a minimum of 15 days and billed in 15 or 30-day cycles, whichever you choose at the start. Hospital bystander cover is priced separately by shift length, from LKR 4,500 per shift, with its own 3-day minimum. A free care assessment is provided before any commitment.

Yes, we understand that needs change. You can modify or cancel your care schedule with 24 hours' notice at no charge. For same-day changes, please contact our care coordination team directly by phone or WhatsApp.

Yes. BetterHands offers 24/7 on-call nursing support for urgent clinical needs. Our emergency line is staffed by trained care professionals who can provide telephone guidance and arrange emergency home visits when required.
