Cover is priced by the length of the shift, not by the grade of staff. A 6-hour shift is LKR 4,500/shift, a 12-hour shift is LKR 5,500/shift, and continuous cover is LKR 6,500/day. There are no travel supplements between Colombo wards.
No, and the distinction matters. A bystander is a trained attendant who stays at the bedside — feeding, toileting, repositioning, fetching staff and watching. Clinical decisions, drugs and procedures remain entirely with the hospital nursing team.
Most Colombo wards expect a family attendant and will accept ours in that role, though rules on numbers and overnight stays differ by hospital and by ward. We ask you to confirm with the ward sister, and we work inside whatever they set.
