A fair number of DC families do return. Almost all of them assume the care stops. It usually should not.
What families expect will happen

The thing that catches people out is how quickly sole responsibility becomes exhausting. From Washington the difficulty is not knowing what is happening. Once you are living twenty minutes away, the difficulty is that every bath, every appointment and every bad night is yours.
Families who scale down rather than stop tend to last longer at it. Keeping two or three days a week means somebody else handles the physically hard parts, and you get to be a son or daughter for the rest of the time rather than a full-time carer.

We might relocate abroad. Is that a problem?
No. The placement is in Sri Lanka and does not depend on your country of residence. Update your contact details and preferred calling hours, and everything else continues without interruption.
What documentation do you provide?
A written assessment, a dated care plan, shift-level welfare records, caregiver credentials including PHSRC registration where a nurse is placed, and itemized invoices separating membership from daily rates.
Where the care actually happens
Island-wide coverage in Sri Lanka.
Coordination runs from Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte on the edge of Colombo, with caregivers placed anywhere on the island including Kandy, Galle, Negombo, Matara and Jaffna.
The daily rate is identical regardless of district. Given how often DC families are weighing this against an eventual return home, a pricing structure with no hidden geography makes the arithmetic considerably easier.
